Comprehensive Asset Management

When warning signs appear, we lower your allocation to market risk to protect your money. In the same vein, when the market environment improves, we restore your target allocation to grow your investment dollars.

We manage all account types, including tax-deferred and/or tax-free accounts (e.g., IRA, SEP, SIMPLE, 401(k), Roth IRA, etc.) as well as taxable accounts (e.g., individual brokerage, joint brokerage, corporate, trust, etc.). As an independent Registered Investment Adviser with the SEC, we use TD Ameritrade – a high quality custodian with a long-standing reputation in low-cost leadership.

Pacific Park Financial, Inc. believes in fee-only asset management. We do not receive commissions for investing the way that “fee-based” advisers do. We provide our asset management service to clients for a fair price. Simple. Straightforward.

Our approach involves diversifying your access to financial markets. That means we use individual stocks, individual bonds, mutual funds, as well as exchange-traded funds (ETFs). All things being equal, we prefer ETFs because they offer low-cost diversification, transparency, trade-ability and tax-efficiency.

We are Certified Financial Planners (CFP®s). Our knowledge in other areas of personal finance – taxation, insurance, retirement planning – can help you see the big picture beyond the borders of market-based securities.

Employer-Sponsored 401(k) Management

If a company, city or state declares bankruptcy, you may not receive all of your pension dollars. Similarly, there may come a time when the U.S. government decides that it must reduce your Social Security benefits.

In contrast, the 401(k) is yours and yours to keep. With a 401(k), you receive extraordinary advantages from immediate tax savings, tax-deferred growth, as well as free money in the form of company matching.

It follows that the growth and protection of your 401(k) is vital to your financial future. Casual glances at your account value may not produce the results you anticipate.

If we are managing your Rollover IRA, Roth, brokerage and/or trust accounts, we can also manage your 401(k). We will incorporate your employer-sponsored plan (e.g., 401(k), 403(b), 457, SEP, SIMPLE, etc.) into your performance reports. That way, you will be able to track the progress of all of your investments in one convenient place.

If you are a business owner or you are in charge of your company’s 401(k) plan, we can also help with employer-sponsored plans at the company level. The pricing is different for providing help at the corporate level, so please give us a call.

Variable Insurance Account Management

Plenty of financial advisers sell variable annuities (VAs) for the gigantic commissions that these insurance products generate. Fee-only financial professionals rarely recommend VAs because they understand that the costs and the drawbacks usually outweigh the benefits.

We do not sell commission-based variable annuities (VAs). We believe that the overwhelming majority of people would be better off without them. That said, if you acquired a variable annuity (VA) or variable universal life (VUL) policy somewhere along the way, we can manage the assets for you.  We can optimize the approach for protecting and growing your cash value.

We apply our proactive management strategy using the sub-account investments that are available. Granted, there may be a limited number of choices within your specific policy. Nevertheless, we are still able to apply protective measures to preserve capital in difficult times; we can still raise the allocation to riskier assets when the fundamental, technical and/or economic environment improves.
